The "Bosnian " was created as a response to the genocide and ethnic cleansing that took place in the former Republic of Yugoslavia during the years, 1991 to 1994. The Bosnian people beseeched the free world to help them but for years their cries were ignored. I created this sculpture to awaken our hearts to the tragic plight of the Bosnian children.
