Throughout art history, the triptych form has been used to tell a story or depict a series of significant events. This triptych, "Human Drama" evolved over a period of time. Using this form, I struggled to find expression for a complex fundamental interaction that takes place between social human beings. I wanted these relationships to be able to reach across time, past, present and future. I found that the same dynamics have been the themes of the great works of art, music and literature which go back through ancient history.
What is unique in this sculpture is the visceral combination of social behaviors within one work. I keep them energized and in context by means of a compositional structure similar to the infinity sign. Simply put, they weave an unending figure eight pattern across the panels as they do across time.
