"Aspiration" is a voluptuous figure passionately engaged in a private dialogue. Passionate and private because, while the arms and legs discharge explosively from the torso the energy is subtly redirected to the main volume of the sculptured figure. This is accomplished largely by joining the hands and orienting the hair and the feet, not outward into space, but back toward the sculpture itself.

The circle and the triangle comprise the abstract architectonics of this sculpture. In the human psyche, these particular shapes evoke concepts of continuity and intuition. This foundation serves the poetics of this work.

Altogether, these dynamics as well as other aesthetic elements create the sublime nature of this sculpture called "Aspiration."
