Although they're both renderings of the human figure, the sculpture titled, "Cloud," completely contrasts the sculpture titled, "Mountain." Unlike the latter, the sculpture, "Cloud," appears to be weightless and freed from gravity. Enclosed negative spaces and soft surface texture play a part in its lightness. As it floats through space, its elongated forms and soft undulating curves suspend time and space. The nearly parallel, horizontal limbs and head lend to the work a slight sensation of movement toward the left.
